NC State lost without its "lead" player....That's why you say WVU won...

However, and I'm sure you know, WVU was without its "lead" player, Tyrone Sally (WVU's leading scorer), when it went up against Boston College....Yet it found a way to beat Boston College...

Care to comment without bias and using a double standard?

Like I said....All teams go through it at one point or another....If the team is supposedly so much better, it should still find a way to win...NC State was at home...So I can't see how you can downplay WVU's huge win over NC State on the road.

If BC would have won, would have you been here saying..."Yeah, BC won, but WVU was without its leading scorer."...?????

Somehow, I don't think so.... 03-wink

Ah it wouldn't be the same without 30cat and Mike.

Welcome 30cat...

Julius Hodge was more than NC State's leading scorer, he was the defending Player of the Year in the nation's best conference. Salley was only honorable mention Big East...

The reason WVU beat BC isn't because WVU is the better team, it is because WVU shot lights out...

Thanks herdthat!

But NC State supposedly has the better overall players....Just as BC had the better overall players than WVU...

Can't we just admit it is COACHING!!!

And now the RPI comparison between Miami (OH) and WVU?... :D

Hey, my hats off to WVU basketball. They tripled their wins in Big East Tourament all-time in two days. Super. No smack today.

Hope you are not comparing Salley, didn't even make first three BE teams, with the returning Player of the Year of the ACC. I also pointed out two other starters and two subs were suffering from the flu...Looking at WVU's success this week, most ever in history of BE membership, I would think that WVU is the better team.

Yes. I am using Sally. Regardless of how good he is, he is the best player on WVU's team. He is the leading scoreer. Therefore, he was as important to WVU as Julius Hodge, team's leading scorer, was to NC State.

WVU played without its leading scorer and got the job done against Boston College...NC State, without its leading scorer couldn't get it done at home against the Mountaineers....

Nevertheless, you no longer have an argument claiming WVU has no quality wins. Every sports writer and announcer out there includes NC State as a quality win and does not put an asterisk on the game because Hodge didn't play. Just like if BC would have beaten WVU, there wouldn't have been an asterisk on WVU's loss column because it played without Sally.

But WVU's quality in over NC State is just one....There are others you can't downplay.

That being said, I think Villanova is a better team than Boston College and the EERS will be, yet again, the underdog. Hopefully the EERS can pull another one out.

Good college player. I try, but I can't see where he would fit in the pros at this point....

Just so you'll know before tonight's game, Mike....

Tyrone Sally is trying to overcome a stomach virus, Fischer's knee is in a wrap and Pat Beilein is nursing an injured shoulder....That's three key players....

Let's see what happens.... 03-wink

If WVU loses, will you provide the same excuse(s) for the EERS?....

Starting the spin early. Show me any player that is not hurting this time of year. EVery player on both teams are probably nursing some type of aches and pains. Who ever said that baksetball was a non-contact sport never played the game. Hey, Cat I am on your side today, WVU did great last night. It was a great win.... 04-bow 04-bow
