RE: Interesting ACC information from Louisville Rivals Howie Lindsey...
Once again, I would never quote Howie when he is spouting statistics because he is often wrong. He is also very stubborn in realizing he is wrong. The ACC has only won 1 of the last 3 title in hoops (or 1 of the last 2 if you want a smaller window).

Obviously he is taking liberty with Louisville...I won't tell

Be it the Democratic Party in Kentucky, the biased local media, espn, the City of Louisville government regarding the YUM Center, the State of Kentucky itself....plenty have taken liberty with the University of Louisville. Not even going to mention the basketball program.........

He was just off by a year with Louisville. He did say "teams now in the ACC", so it's 2 out of 4 years in hoops.
Any way you slice it, though, the ACC is doing pretty well lately.
RE: Interesting ACC information from Louisville Rivals Howie Lindsey...
Once Louisville, SU, ND, and Pitt were added to the likes of Duke, UNC, NC State, and Virginia, everyone knew it was only a matter of time for the basketball to become perhaps the best ever.
But it's still football that is king. And looking at the results of what are now the NY6 games plus either BCS NC or CFP NC over the past 5 years, the ACC is 9-3 with two NCs. If we use the phrase teams now in the ACC it goes to 10-3.
2012
W - Peach Bowl - Clemson defeats LSU W - Orange Bowl - Florida State defeats Northern Illinois
2013
W - Orange Bowl - Clemson defeats Ohio State W - BCS NC game - Florida State defeats Auburn
*W - Sugar Bowl - Louisville defeats Florida
2014
W - Orange Bowl - Georgia Tech defeats Mississippi State L - Rose Bowl (NC semi) - Florida State loses to Oregon
2015
L - Peach Bowl - Florida State loses to Houston W - Orange Bowl (NC Semi) - Clemson defeats Oklahoma L - CFP NC game - Clemson loses to Alabama
2016
W - Orange Bowl - Florida State defeats Michigan W - Fiesta Bowl (NC semi) - Clemson defeats Ohio State W - CFP NC game - Clemson defeats Alabama
So that is 4-1 (5-1 if we include Louisville's win) over the SEC and 3-0 over the B1G.
The real question will be what happens when one or both of FSU and Clemson take a step back in certain years? Will another ACC program rise up that year and be a legit top 5-6 contender for the CFP?

Time will tell.

That has always been the question. When Virginia Tech was the best team in the ACC, quite frankly it wasn't quite good enough.
In the data you present above...
Clemson is 5-1
Florida St is 3-2
Georgia Tech is 1-0
Louisville is 1-0
So only 4 teams have even played in any of the current NY6 bowls over the last 5 years, with two teams accounting for 80% of the wins (and 100% of the losses).

Don't forget about the mess with our BOT's that our newly elected Republican Gov has created.

Both of you are spot on.
It is about building more depth to compete at that level. Clemson made the HUGE jump and lead the way here. Who is next? Va Tech? UNC?
If the ACC can add a 3rd player for playoff spots, it makes a massive difference.

Trying to clean up the pay-for-play trustee mess the previous democratic governor created, which violated state law several different ways.

The legality of his actions are still under question & has the UofL under probation from SACS. I agree that it needed to be done but it should have been done the right way.

Regarding this and other recent political conflicts...
2 Timothy 3:1-5 "But know this, that in the last days... men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, ... not open to any agreement, slanderers, ... puffed up with pride, ... having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power..."
