The third-ranked Thundering Herd is coming off a 12-point quarterfinal win over No. 6 Toledo on Wednesday night. Two Marshall sophomores, KaShawna Curry (Huntington, W.Va.) and Crystal Champion (Washington, D.C.), posted double-doubles in the victory. The Herd and Golden Flashes met in last season’s tournament quarterfinals, with MU the sixth seed and KSU the third seed. The Herd pulled the upset with a 64-58 win to advance to its first ever MAC semifinals, where it fell to eventual champion Eastern Michigan, 75-70.
