Also of note 930 AM WRVC will be carrying the game live with Robert Harper play-by-play and Woody Woodrum color. They did an excellent job on Wednesday night.

Herdzone release:

-- The co-champions of the Mid-American Conference East Division will meet in the Kraft MAC Women's Basketball Tournament semifinals at Gund Arena on Friday with a berth to Saturday’s championship game on the line. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30, or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the other semifinal matchup between No. 1 Bowling Green and No. 4 Eastern Michigan.

Both semifinal games can be seen live on Fox Sports Net Ohio.

The third-ranked Thundering Herd is coming off a 12-point quarterfinal win over No. 6 Toledo on Wednesday night. Two Marshall sophomores, KaShawna Curry (Huntington, W.Va.) and Crystal Champion (Washington, D.C.), posted double-doubles in the victory. Curry grabbed a career-high 13 boards while tying her career-high of 13 points and Champion scored 10 points with a dozen rebounds. In total, four MU players reached double-digits, led by Teyonka Hodge’s (Washington, D.C.) 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Sikeetha Shepard-Hall (Houston, Texas) netted 11 points.

No. 2 Kent State overcame a sluggish first half to blow out Ohio, 93-74, in the quarterfinals. Melissa DeGrate scored a career-high 32 points and was 11-of-18 from the floor. The KSU senior was also 4-of-7 from 3-point range to go along with five rebounds and two steals. KSU converted 52.4 percent of its shots and held the Bobcats to only 20 percent shooting in the second half (6-for-30).

The Herd and Golden Flashes met in last season’s tournament quarterfinals, with MU the sixth seed and KSU the third seed. The Herd pulled the upset with a 64-58 win to advance to its first ever MAC semifinals, where it fell to eventual champion Eastern Michigan, 75-70.

All of Marshall’s MAC Tournament games will be broadcast live on WRVC 930-AM and on Marshall’s student station, 88.1 WMUL-FM, which will also utilize a web broadcast at http://www.marshall.edu/wmul.
