That's ludicrous; WMU should have fallen back at least 7 more spots to 22 or maybe 23, behind USF, who was way underrated in this final poll.

UCF finished 10 in 2013. its a joke considering UCF's only loss was a very close game to the eventual #4 South Carolina, and they beat two top 10 teams in Louisville and Baylor. WMU should have fallen to the 20's considering they beat nobody of importance this season........ "playing a good game" against ONE good team should not mean much unless you have other great wins to counteract it with.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I think there is huge difference between 15 and 10. It is much harder to crack the top 10 because then you are passing conference leaders in P5. WMU played well and won the games they had, so in this case one game is what you go by.

I think it's their first time finishing the season ranked? If that's right, then yes.

Still can't believe they didn't finish ranked when they got all the way to #2 in the country half way through the season in '07. There were 6/8 Big East teams ranked in the top 20 at some point that year (Cincinnati, Connecticut, Louisville, South Florida, Rutgers, and West Virginia), three of them were ranked in the top 10 and two were ranked in the Top 2 at one point in the season. Crazy year...

USF finished the 2007 regular season ranked but ran into a buzz saw against Oregon, what basically was the start of their run and served as a coming out party.

Total let down for the conference...I had never seen the AP or Coaches Poll give an outsider such a high ranking like that, so early in the season; even ESPN was on the bandwagon.

Most of you weren't around here back then, but they played the USF big East role to perfection. Early season hype, play hard ooc and win big ooc games, lose when favored in conference multiple times and the bowl game, rendering the ooc accomplishments mostly meaningless.

Herman did a crap job keeping the team's focus before road games, which was also a problem last year with the UConn game. It'll be interesting to see how UT plays on the road this next year to see if that trend continues. 07-coffee3

No, their highest rank would be 5... The CFP is never allowing a G5 team in...

Zero margin of error for the G5 teams...
