Alabama vs Clemson: FBS National Championship Game Thread ...
For any who are interested.
My brain says Alabama is a little better than they were last year, and Clemson not quite as good as they were last year, so Alabama should win, say 31 - 23.
But IMO Clemson has the intangibles. I can feel that Dabo is just BURNING to win this game, to beat Bama and claim a national title. I think he will just somehow will Clemson to victory.
Clemson wins, 27 - 20.

Clemson over Alabama 23-10. It is UA offense against Clemson's defense ands I go with Clemson. Alabama will have to show the passing game tonight.

this looks like one of the 1980's era Super Bowl games.

The best thing Clemson could do is have a long time consuming drive that ends in 7 to tie this game up. Maybe you could put a shred of doubt into Bama's head to start the 2nd half

yeah about that...... turnover minute into the 2nd half, and Alabama in red zone already. TD and game over.

ESPN News Channel or "ESPN Film Room" is a winner IMO. Nice to get the perspective of different coaches. At times, it is hilarious and at other times enlightening.

Wow, this is about the 3rd time I have seen a Bama player leading with their helmet. I know it's the national championship game but you can't swallow your whistle on stuff like that. That's targeting

Not like they don't already have superior athletes compared to every other team in the country... the refs also letting Bama play a little beyond the rules on defense, too. Not drastic, just a little pass interference here, a little late hit there, but overall it leads to smothering defense.

The hype about Bama's D is real. They are outstanding. But.... they constantly push the limits of what's legal and refs are always letting them get away with it.
It's not just this game it's been happening all year. I know it's a D full of pros but let's not always give them the benefit of the doubt based on talent. Which is what it feels like refs do.
