Coastal was transitioning this year I believe, from the FCS Big South but should be a full FBS member of the Sun Belt in 2017. Charleston Southern is in the Big South and was a conference mate with Coastal until the transition.

Likely will mean nice pay raise. CSU has perhaps the poorest budget and facilities in scholarship football. Seriously.

Allegedly he has been designated as Head Coach-in-Waiting FWIW.

Coastal Carolina's coach was the former TD Ameritrade CEO. Coastal Carolina has performed well and is a growing school. I am sure that Coastal is looking to build like Charlotte, Old Dominion, and Georgia State.
