I think Fleck is going to try to win just enough to get hired away to a better program. I just can't see Minnesota winning the Big 10 any time soon, especially with the impending Fleck rebuild.

Jesus. What the hell is wrong with you people. Fleck came to WMU and went 13-0 and to cotton bowl. Recruited way above WMU and MAC standards.

The idea that he won't recruit above Minn standards and to top echelon of BIG standards, you guys are out of your minds. He will be at B1G championship game within 2 seasons. Or pull an 11-1 season in two years.

How you guys would underestimate him is crazy. Literally, crazy.

I will not be surprised to see him in CFP within 2-3 years.

See what he did to our program, that is all you need to know.

Recruiting against the other MAC teams is not the same as recruiting against UofM, OSU, Wisc... etc. It should be interesting to see how he does... I'm sure he will hold his own.

PJ will kick Harbaugh's azz at recruiting. Just watch.

Whatever your feelings about PJ - he will not mess around when it comes to recruiting. Look out.

Exactly.

He sure doesn't mess around with recruiting. Maybe they did know about Bryson White?

Until Meyer and Harbaugh slap him around a bit.

Kill had Minnesota one road win at Wisconsin away from the B1G championship game before health forced him to step down. The Minnesota program improved steadily with Kill in charge and didn't slip back too much under Claeys. For Minnesota to truly take the next step as a program, P.J. needs to at least get them to Indy playing for a B1G title. Do that in a year when the B1G is strong and Minnesota could end up in a NY6 bowl (like Wisconsin this year getting to the Cotton Bowl).

IMO it's far from a guarantee P.J. succeeds at Minnesota, at least in terms of elevating the program. The B1G West may not be as top-heavy as the East, but Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Iowa are always going to forces to be reckoned with and NW will be solid as long as Fitzgerald is there. On top of that, Brohm and Lovie are good coaches who certainly have the capability to potentially improve Purdue and Illinois.
