Thanks for the heads up but seeing Fleck in any media right now makes me puke. Not to mention his Gargoyle new wife likely draped all over him... I'll pass. He can gopher it up all he wants... I have better things to do.

That's OK, Flush. Just watched it, and we've heard it all before. Practically know it word for word. Only the name of the university has changed. The only new segment was about how he and Heather decided they wanted a new challenge and to be able to get down and dirty into the process. Or something like that. And he ended with "Ski-U-Mah/Row the Boat."

And then I yawned.

Wait did he actually say row the boat?

In his opening Gopher presser he went way out of his way to make sure his wife was well known. Even more than I remember in the past year. I thought it odd (in a 'better them than us' way). Clearly a package deal like it or not.

Really... this is a forum about collegiate football and you, someone who probably hasn't spoken a word personally to either of the Flecks, continually can't help yourself from attacking them on this level. Ruff. Grow up.

Whinny..can you clarify the meaning of Ski-U-Mah for me? I assume its some Indian reference but no clue what it means or how it relates to UM. Thx!

Ooooh ... the new head football Goofer just leapt onto the basketball court during a timeout, jumped up and down and encouraged the home crowd to make more noise. Wow. Impressive. I do believe I heard one of the TV commentators make some statement about spinning plates and a stick.

Believe it was originally part of a Sioux rallying cry back in the mid-1800's. Some athletic team at the U of Minnesota added the "Mah" so it would rhyme with "Rah" and they used it as a sports cheer. It's also part of one of their school songs - "Rah, Rah, Rah for Ski-U-Mah. Rah, Rah, Rah, Rah. Rah for the U of M." My mother got her Masters at Minnesota and I remember hearing her sing that song when I was a kid.

And he's all over the ESPN website for his participation in the halftime entertainment at the Gopher BB game...seriously. Man the guy can sure garner some attention...just like he did here. What a salesman!
