Get rid of Idaho and NMSU

Add:
JMU
NDSU

But don't let NDSU fans join this board they're super annoying

RE: if Sun Belt were to expand, what's your ideal result?
As an outlier school way north of the Sun Belt footprint with a small athletic budget, I'm sure NDSU would be thrilled to become a football-only Sun Belt member just as soon as you guys kick Idaho, an outlier school way north of the Sun Belt footprint with a small athletic budget, out of the conference. What reason could NDSU possibly have to be concerned about such an arrangement?

Are you guys high?

The title asked for your ideal result. Very little realism has to be involved. I can think of about a million different reasons for why I'd rather have NDSU than Idaho.

The SBC starts the whole conference over along with C-USA and we put our teams in regions that are have a better chance at thriving.

Oh. In that case, I would go with Tennessee and Ole Miss. Fills some holes in the map. I'm assuming Troy and USA will veto Alabama and Auburn. Tough luck, Tide.

Nope we only veto Idaho. Doesn't fit our "region".

No thanks to all of those schools.

Ideally, JMU to the east and Missouri State to the west. JMU is hot off a FCS National Championship and Missouri State would up our ante in basketball. Outside of that, possible UTC or EKU, but JMU and Missouri State would get my nod first.

I really don't get the love affair some App fans have for JMU. They ain't leaving the CAA. Ever. Too much basketball $$$$. Nor should they. They are right where they need to be, and have stated many times they do not wish to be a part of the Sun Belt.

Please, guys. Stop with the JMU hard-on. It's embarrassing. Move on.

RE: if Sun Belt were to expand, what's your ideal result?
Football only and no new members unless we lose teams and they are already FBS ready as far as min attendance and stadium like JMU. I like having the chance to watch my team play 14 games instead of 12 with the CCG so min ten and I think we have to have ten anyway to remain a football conference. I guess we still have non football members due to their locations being travel friendly to football members for olympic sports.
Again unless you like getting less money for your program there is ZERO reason to expand. We get a set amount from the playoffs and adding teams is not going to increase any media money. No matter what we do the conference media deals are likely never to increase at this point. So adding teams just more mouths to feed. I am in favor of a geographical realignment of G5's.

Not a bad idea either, I'd be cool with this

Well, if we were expanding, these would be my choices, assuming AAC schools are off limits and no members are leaving the SBC.

Rice

Southern Miss

Middle Tennessee

Western Kentucky

Don't need a 3rd school from LA or AL. Already got the DFW market covered.

Don't need to go beyond 16.

No FCS schools bring more to the table than the above 4.

Why would you guys be for this? The two basketball only schools are the two BEST basketball schools in the conference and offer the best chance to get more than 1 bid.

Honestly the chances of more than one bid are slim to none when horse crap SEC teams make it in off name.

Now if you want to make the case of winning a game which means more payout then that has merit.

If SBC loses two members, invite NMSU and hold at nine members. Oh yeah let go of Little Rock and UTA. Nothing against them but can t understand the benefits of a hybrid conference.
