After next year, the quarterback competition should be up for grabs. One also doesn't know about possible injuries. My point, being why leave now? Speaking of Pensyl here. I don't know what is his eligibility? How many years does he have to compete? Looks like FCS.

Stone graduates this spring and hats off to him for taking 22 credit hours in the fall to make sure he graduates on time.

Hopefully these coaches are hustling behind the scenes to add 5 or 6 more QUALITY players via Juco, decommits, or whatever.

Wouldn't just start handing out offers to a bunch of DITR's and no offer guys late in the process though. Instead of that, roll over till next year.

The website said he sat out both 2014 AND 2015, which I don't think is accurate. Maybe he did? That would allow him to get a 6th year. But I thought he played in either 14 or 15.

This is what is listed:

2012 - played.
2013 - played.
2014 - redshirt.
2015 - injury.
2016 -

The critical point was be 2014. Was a medical redshirt requested?

IF med. redshirts were requested for both 14 and 15, then he could have a 6th year.

I think all schools should endeavor to go for med. redshirts whenever possible. Who knows, a kid can be a senior with a med redshirt and in the 3rd game gets hurt. That could be a 2nd med. redshirt.
