An Interesting Question for You ...
If we had lost the MACC game to Ohio, would Fleck still be at WMU? We would not have been undefeated, and might not have snagged the Cotton Bowl invite.

What do you think?

I'm trying to make the transition to just being done with all things PJ after venting quite a bit. Bottom line, he's not our coach anymore. Ready for the next one. I'm more concerned that our athletic department isn't at least floating names or something. At least that would say to potential recruits, current ones, hey, we are working on it, stick with us for a minute.

Wondering how long ago talks with Minnesota really began.

I think he'd still be gone. 12-1 and ranked for most of the season is still impressive. (You're right that we wouldn't have gone to the Cotton Bowl)

Tuesday I would've said 'no question he'd be back.'
Now I'm not so sure. The guy says a lot of things he doesn't necessarily mean.

In my opinion the Minnesota negotiations started a long time ago so he would still be gone

Indeed, why speculate on that? PJ did some great things, but he's gone. We're moving on.

RE: An Interesting Question for You ...
The point is that we were able to enjoy an amazing experience at a New Years Day bowl game -- something I personally thought I would ever experience as a WMU alumnus in my lifetime. The stars aligned for us this year -- everything had to work out perfectly in order for this to happen. I'm not sure even PJ realistically expected this. Hell, there are P5 teams that may never experience this.

The mere fact that we had record setting attendance at the MACC game and brought almost as many to the Cotton Bowl positions this program to new heights. And now there is a realistic chance that we may have a shot at one of the premier coaches in college football history is unbelievable.
