I'm sure they are working harder than any of us can imagine. I'm just wanting for some news... not necessarily a hire, but info on where the process stands... I have faith that our reps are doing their homework and making sure to get this one right.

Target the number one guy on your list and go get him. See what it will take to get him to come.

Like Minnesota did, in three days.

If you can't work it out, go to number two.

Three days and a covert Gopher operation near the grassy knoll in Dallas

Got that one right!

A dead line should have been given way before the Cotton Bowl for signing a contract.... No signature begin a search.

Bottom line is that as much as we would like to know what's going on in the search, it really is NOOB. We will know in time. In the meantime, I choose not to angst about the hours ticking away, but to visualize a great outcome. GO BRONCOS!!

He could have left anyway. His agent wouldn't have let him sign without buyout clause at anytime if P5 school came calling. Fleck to Minnesota wasn't about money, it was about path to top ten program. Fleck told local media that and staff. It was mentioned again Saturday by David Drew who he confided in regarding his dream job. That job wasn't Minnesota as Drew admitted on air.

From what I have read and heard, Fleck's dream jobs were listed as:

1. Notre Dame

2. Northwestern

3. Chicago Bears

DDrew said on 92.5 Saturday morning that PJ told him what his dream job was, but wouldn't reveal it because it was off the record. He did say he's now in the same conference as that dream job.

I don't care what his dream job is, how much pay he would receive, or if his manager had a buy out clause an astute manager would have started a search when he would not sign a contract. As fleck points out in snake oil talk you have to live in the present by learning from your past. Who cares what he did last year. This is business and a much bigger buy out would be in order as we learnd form our past he is all about moving up the coaching ranks. No big buy out move on in a search!

Is Fleck anticipating another stop outside the B1G before that happens? Schools don't typically hire away a conference mate's head coach.

Another reason it was a poor decision on his part. But dollars and conference can speak louder than foresight.

Dont know about you but knowing what we know now i would have preferred getting hammered (just for you) in the Cotton Bowl with an interm than having that douche on the sideline.
