The first breakdown was allowing a 30 foot entry pass. Then, he got toward the basket much more quickly than anyone planned. My coaching philosophy in that situation is to foul when anyone gets 30 feet from the basket in that situation. Russian dude did a fantastic job of drawing contact when Tosin was simply trying to guard the basketball.

The thing that impressed me the most was after he sank all three FTs, there was NO momentum lost on our bench. There was no "Oh man we are gonna lose" body language...lots of grins and confidence. Our guys walked out of the huddle convinced they were going to destroy Rice in OT, and they did. The defense was phenomenal, with only one FG by Rice in the whole period.

I noticed on th Rice board that they thought Ehsan should be having a fit because they thought that Egor carried the ball right before the fouls and it wasn't called.

From what I heard, one of our players, Lee maybe, slammed home a celebratory dunk after time expire, and their players took offense

I seem to recall something about HaHa performing a windmill dunk at the end of the OT that got Rice a tad upset...

I applaud the change in starting point guard, but it begs the question why it wasn't tried sooner. The collective negative Nancies on the board have been calling for that change for a while..

We left Texas with two pretty good wins. I'm encouraged somewhat. I just hope we can build some sort of momentum and turn the corner. We've been one step forward two steps back this season..

Early on after Nick got hurt and the redshirt was pulled off Watts Ehsan indicated they would work Watts back into the lineup gradually(because he was woefully out of shape?)...

This. It's my understanding that there was an emotional detachment from Watts too and Ehsan wasn't fee;ing that he wanted it. Whatever it was I see a new energy and balance with this team. I'm very hopeful.
