In the beginning of practice when the QBs were making simple fade type passes, Morris looked to have the best touch and spiral. When coverage was thrown at them, Morris seemed to struggle while Devine seemed to stay consistant. Skinner didn't look too bad, but I would agree that Devine seemed to be the most solid.

I tried to link to the thread over on Herd Nation with clips of practice, but it seems to remove the url for some reason.

i just thought urrego had a weird path to the ball..... not that he's a bad kicker.... and im not so sure its because its left footed.... it started left and then looped right..... it ammused me..... but confused me..... lol. he's a good kicker.... i'm just sayin..... they both got it off quick.... urrego sometimes took a little longer.... biagi looked good today too.... he didnt seem to get as many reps in though

Elcess in school but no longer in the FB program.

Newsome tore wrist tendons and broke 2 wrist bones in a weight-lifting mishap - out for spring.

Bullock tore a pectoral muscle lifting weights - had surgery & out for spring - will continue weight loss program.

Spann had surgery for torn ACL yesterday - probably out for 2005 season according to what Nunez told Chuck.

Hiram Moore was there but didn't practice - still recovering from cuts in feet from auto accident.

Small & M. Morris being tried at WR.

Elcess apparently found it necessary to stop going to off season workouts.

What number is small, is he number 15 by any chance.

I saw Bullock at the Orthopedist office on Monday when I went to have my knee examined (surgery scheduled next Friday! 04-rock ) and you could tell he's lost some significant weight.

Let me break the tie between 05 and grrchemgirl.

Devine looked 2X better than Skinner in my opinion. Devine's passes had much more zip on them, and he threw a very tight spiral, where Skinner did look better than last year, but he throws more of a touch spiral type pass, w/o as much zip. I thought Devine looked the most accurate out of the 3 as well.

Another note on Devine............he threw EXTREMELY well on the run, and didn't lose much velocity at all whether he was scrambling against his body or with it......if that will say something about his strength.

I won't try to judge on 1 day in the freezing snow who the best punter is, but last year it was definitely in this order
1)Ian
2) Urrego
3) Biagi

To add to 05's report, I think that the players seemed pumped up with their new start and their new coach. Maybe Herd48 can verify, or shoot me down, but i think that the players LOVE Coach Kueck.

Bradshaw looked sick............as i mean in unreal fast.
Gerwin is fast, plus he is big enough to make his own holes when needed (same mold as many good WVU running backs ala Zeroue, Q. Wilson, etc......very short and compact like Barry Sanders)

Another note....Chubb Small has been move to WR. Kueck said they need his 4.4 speed on the outside..........also runs a 10.5 100m, just like Josh Davis

Another note part II.......Kueck said that Morris runs a 4.5, and they need his big body at WR, so they can have better blockers out on the field, plus a BIG target for the QB, also said he can go in motion to the TE position, and still know how to play that position and possibly catch a few LB's off guard.

So much talent, so few positions on offense. If we can get a qb, we will be sick (in pokey's terms) on offense this year. Chubb small is my breakout player of the year. Or Devine. Or matt morris. Or Larry Kueck. . Bradshaw will be the conference player of the year in two years
