Parsing words. If his new gig doesn't work out maybe he could try his hand as a barrister

Can't say that these thoughts haven't occurred to more than a few of us.

Irony is, if the right hire is made (Les) our program will be in better shape over next 3 years than if Fleck had stayed. He's a great jump start, but he's not Saban. Don't tell me you guys weren't getting sick of change your best, grow higher, etc. Effective for periods of time, but it was time for a change - just have to make the next right move (fleck pun intended).
Right hire is Mike Houston not old has been fired from LSU

Maybe. But can you imagine him walking into USC next year and having been there? No, just think he's a bigger risk and not sure many recruits would clammed for that. And fired vs need a change are two different things.

It took a hieroglyphics translator to read Flecks sweatshirts.

Indeed. That's one of the upsides here. Although stay with the brown, no return to black (and fer god's sakes, burn those grey uniforms we used in the MACC).
I warmed up to RTB and thought it to be good rallying cry, but I never found myself fully buying into it. Most passers-by in Dallas would say "Row the Boat!" That's fine, but I still prefer the traditional "Go Broncos!" from strangers.

His gushing about Kalamazoo, his stated appreciation for KB taking a chance on him, his commentary about improving the facilities and adding stadium capacity all suggested more than a fling. There are probably other examples of his implied love of all things Western and Kalamazoo.
For me the big ones were:
1.) Planning stadium expansion
2.) Saying he'd win a National Championship with WMU
3.) Saying he'd use the money the program bring Men's Track back to WMU
4.) Wanting to build WMU to a Boise St type program
5.) A visible/audible passion for the MAC that other coaches didn't necessarily express
Just all these items seemed to hint he wouldn't jump at the first opportunity. I know some was just coach speak, like winning a National Championship, but still, you just don't see that in your everyday poached coach..
Generally agree with this. My thoughts on the list above:
1) Fun to talk about, but not realistic or necessary (focusing on west end zone renovation as opposed to stadium expansion would have been preferred)
2) Not realistic under the current four-team playoff system
3) Didn't realize this had been said, but many at WMU would've appreciated it if this ever became a reality
4) Probably agree with this most, only because he backed up his talk enough that our program was (potentially, still is, with the right hire) positioned to string together a Boise-like run over a number of years
5) As a former MAC player, it seemed more likely he might've decided to stick around the MAC at least a little bit longer than other coaches
