I know I may be jumping the gun here but I definitely don't like what I am witnessing. That's all.

I tried to tell everyone hiring from within doesn't work but its whatever. I honestly feel if we had thrown more at Lincoln Riley we could have gotten him. Heck at this point i would have taken les miles.

If I'm hiring a HC for UCF, I'd pick the rising star that only sticks around for 2-3 years every single time. I don't know why Houston got so obsessed with making sure the next coach stays for the long haul.

Let me give you a similar situation. Say UCF used to be in the same conference as FSU, UF, and Miami and did well against them at times. Then they hit hard times and they got relegated to AAC. Then the last 3 coaches who UCF gave their first HC job to all left for those same schools who you hope to recruit against. And they all left in a very negative manner with interviewing during the year and leaving before any bowl games. So you've lost your best coaches to in state rivals who now recruit against you.

I hope this helps you understand the need for UH to raise up the buyout.

Hiller is a good one. Could not close the deal recruiting that position but he's a really good line coach.

Yep, I've heard he was absolutely terrible in the living room but great in the meeting room.

Houston hasn't been in the SWC in over 20 years. That ship/excuse has sailed. You are what you are.

Surprised to see this level of doom and gloom from UH fans.

City of Houston fans (whether it be Texans, Rockets, or Coogs) are some of the most schizophrenic sports fans in the country. When we're up, everyone is on board, but when we're down or if there's even question marks, it's the end of the world.

The one question mark is D'Onofrio, but other than that I think it's a good staff. I really like the James Casey, Brian Johnson, and Hiller hires.
