RE: Kent Golfers in the Pros - 2017 edition
Hughes missed the cut by three strokes at the Waste Management Open this week on the PGA tour.

This flew under my radar, but there were actually two web.com events in the Bahamas with names so similar that I didn't realize the second tournament was different than the first. At the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic, the results for the Kent players looked very similar to that of the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic. Corey Conners finished tied for 7th and Yip and Pendrith missed the cut. Conners is off to a very good start earning $40k in two tournaments (he's earned enough that he would have finished 103rd for the entire season last year).

Looks like Mac Hughes ended up tied for 10th in the ATT Pro Am at Pebble Beach - nicely done weekend -

On the web.com, Conners finished tied for 17th and earned another $10K towards his PGA card. Yip missed the cut.

Next week, they are in Panama and then there is only one web.com tournament in the next 8 weeks, so things are going to slow down soon.

Not much good news this week.

Hughes missed the cut at PGA's Genesis Open.

Conners barely made the cut in web.com Tour's Panama Claro and is currently tied for 52nd in the 3rd round. Yip barely missed the cut (by 1 stroke) because he finished the back 9 badly. It's a shame because he hasn't quite gotten things rolling so far, missing all 4 cuts.

Conners had a nice weekend and looks like he'll finish somewhere around a tie for 29th. That will add another $4K to the kitty towards a PGA card.

Hughes playing the Honda Classic, comes up big with a birdie on his last hole today to sneak under the cut line. Clutch 9-footer to play the weekend!

Hughes finished tied for 66th, which is good for another 3.7 FedEx Points and a five digit paycheck.

Mackenzie Hughes is playing in the World Golf Championships - Mexico Championship this week. This is a highly selective event with only 76 golfers and no cuts. Hughes made the tournament based on his position in the Top 10 of Fed Ex points so far this year.

He's off to a good start, shooting a one under 70 and is tied for 20th in Wednesday's first round.

Hughes missed the cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Rough first day (7 over) and a solid second (even par). This is the type of event that Hughes wouldn't have been playing without the PGA tour win.

Next week, the web.com tour is back in action in Louisiana.
