So our guys hit to road and head to Williamsburg. This will certainly be an entertaining game. Most likely the team who decides to play defense on a few possessions will win this one. I expect this to be a high scoring affair. W&M started off by losing to NU followed by a couple of tight wins over HU and Elon. Hopefully we defend the 3 better than we have been doing or else we potentially could dig another deep hole that will be difficult to overcome int he second half. Rodney should have himself another big game down low. I think this will be a close game throughout, but the home team edges us out in the end.

RE: W&M
My prediction is that this will be a really low scoring affair...

Drexel 0
W&M 0

The game was just postponed to be replayed at a later date due to the snow storm in Southern Virginia.

Yeah I just saw that. We will bump this thread whenever they decide to play this one. Can't believe they are canceling games because of 3" of snow.

Edit: Hopefully the team hadn't left yet to go down there. Not sure how early they were planning on being down there for an afternoon game. At least they can make all of their Friday classes

RE: W&M
That really stinks for our team. The CAA schedule is a consistent Thurs. / Sat. league. So, the postponement means that we'll now have to do a 3 games in 5 day scenario with it being likely that we'll have 2 of the 3 on the road.

We do have two weekends with 2 home games, Jan 26 & 28 and Feb 9 & 11. Best case would be to pack it in around one of those weekends. Say, Jan 24 or 30 or Feb 7 or 13.

I have a feeling that the game will be played on Feb 27, 28, or March 1 as a stopover on the way to Charleston. So Drexel can have another chance to ruin WM's Senior Night again.

This area isn't the Northeast either. We don't have the regular snow storms, thus we don't have the regular funding to deal with them. Takes longer to adjust.

I live quite close to Williamsburg. A snow storm like this has the potential to lock our roads up for a week. Forecasted 4-8".

Must have changed from when I posted that as I looked it up before posting and they were saying 3"-5" which for that part of VA i was assuming was on the lighter side. If it is pushing a foot then fine. However that part of VA should be prepared for that type of snow, it is not that unusual to get a large storm or two a year. If we were talking about Wilmington or Charelston, that would be one thing, but this is east coast virigina

Main roads, yes. All others, nope. It's shocking and not shocking at the same time.

I hope all the other CAA road teams don't get stuck travelling home thru it on Saturday night.

I remember last year during one of our northern road trips our guys got off their bus and helped push cars stuck in the snow.

Looked like the Delaware/W&M Women's game was moved up earlier yesterday. I think it had finished before we tipped last night.

RE: W&M
Bump for the game tonight. I won't remake a prediction, though I dont think we score that much and keep it that close. W&M is coming of a high so they may let down, but their offensive movement and cuts will confuse and tire us out. I don't see us keeping this one very close.

I didn't realize how good William and Mary has been at home recently - of course with the exception of facing our worst two teams in recent history. This was tweeted by the Willam and Mary sports blog.
"Over the previous 3 years William & Mary is 33-5 at home. During that same stretch, W&M has 40% of its home losses to Drexel (0-2)"

Here's hoping the secret to success didn't depart with Bru and his staff.

We seem to be doing well with the zone - I guess that is not part of Bru's secret.

RE: W&M
It would appear the defense worked only long enough for us to catch up. The last part of that half featured little defense on either side.

Hopefully we come out in the second half like we're down 20, that seems to be when we do best.
