Big loss for USF, but they should still be the favorite to win the conference next year.

Wish him the best. He did a lot for USF. We do have other quality backs but he was special

Most sites have him right outside the top 10 at the running back position. Top 10 for non p5 prospects. Can't blame for taking his shot.

I almost feel like he should have stayed another year then with that grade.

That's not bad for a RB these days. It's not like Gurley is doing anything with his draft pick.

I'd be happy for the Bucs to pick him up to find a replacement for Doug Martin. Don't think the Muscle Hamster is coming back...

Hate to see these guys go, but I can't blame them. They gave us an incredible year! Hope they find success in the NFL and get the payday... I think they deserve it more than Taggart.

Tough luck for USF but I agree the Bulls are still the favorite for the East in 2017.

RI wish he would stay but respect his choice on it.
We are fine in RBs. Johnson and Tice will be seniors and we got some RS players that might surprise.

Especially running backs. Going pro instead of risking injury is always a defensible decision.

Good for him. He had a great year, and there's no telling what Strong will do on offense.

RE: Marlon Mack declares for the draft.
I knew he would go all along. Even as a 5th he'd be smart to go. His grade won't be higher next year regardless of his production. He's proven for 3 years he can produce at this level. Now it's down to measurables. All that could happen if he came back is he gets injured or comes back and has a down year.

College teams make so much money off of these kids. I'm all for them getting paid when they can.

Wish him the best. An all time great bull.

RE: Marlon Mack declares for the draft.
While a loss for USF, Flowers rushed for 1,530 yards, Johnson rushed for 543, and Darius Tice is coming back.

There shouldn't be too big of a dropoff. Taggart actually said on several occasions, that there is very little difference between Mack, Johnson, and Tice. Yes, he really said that. Believe Tice was actually supposed to be the starter Mack's freshman year, but Tice got hurt in preseason, and then Mack went out and rushed for 275 yards in the opener and the rest is history.

Strong hired Sterlin Gilbert as his OC, an Art Briles/Dino Babers type guru. What does that tell you.

Uh, you mean a Art Briles / Philip Montgomery type guru.

Hmm with Gilbert leading the offense don't expect to much changes. Texas had the #16 offense and one of the most prolific running backs in nation.

I understand his reasonings for going pro, as a RB you are one play of an injury and maybe never making it there. Had he stayed and remain healthy he would be higher rated but it's a risk and only he can decide.
