OT. question for the Murfreesboro people
Passing through the other day i stopped by a business called the Outpost Armory. Just wondered if anybody knew the reputation of the place before doing business with them.

Thanks

RE: OT. question for the Murfreesboro people
I haven't done business with them personally but haven't heard anything negative.

Living in Maryland, I paid over $700 for a Glock 23 up here and that was a few years ago. Should have just waited until I got back home. Could have gotten it at the Outpost for around $500.

RE: OT. question for the Murfreesboro people
I have friends that use it often. I'm not a gun owner but I would say they have a good reputation.

They are expensive, but solid. There are two other gun shops in Murfreesboro. On Target is one and it also has an indoor range.

Good rep. Used to be owned by Barrett, but not sure if that is still the case. Have never heard anything bad about them.

Outpost is owned by Barrett's son. Legit.

They are building a firing range close to downtown Murfreesboro, in an old area called "The Bottoms".

One of my very best friends in the plant manager of Barrett. He was the best man in my wedding, way back in Y2K

Go to Sherwood's in Bowling Green or Cheeks Brothers in Scottsville. Those two are where I get all of my guns and ammo.

RE: OT. question for the Murfreesboro people
They are setting up a full gun range right by downtown Boro. I've bought from them. Good folks with hard to find inventory. Prices are not as low as Academy but they carry more stuff though.

Yea they aren't bad either. I would say Cheeks Brothers is the best though. They already have very good prices. Are super friendly guys. If the gun is used they let you go to the range on site and fire some rounds to make sure it works how it is supposed to. And they will price match. It is very rare, but if you find a gun cheaper somewhere else and can show them, then they will match.
