Also, as a public service announcement to snowflakes and libturds everywhere, when that count-down clock hits 0, Trump is the president. He doesnt need to be sworn in. You will see the secret service beltman swap from Obama to Trump. (And probably joyfully so)

This used to be the cool conservative thing to say.

Now it's the cool progressive thing to say.

That's true. Thanks for your comment.

I don't hope he fails. I just am no longer optimistic when it comes to US governance. Bush and Obama were both serious disappointments.

I would be very happy if Trump lives up to the hype - it's just that I've seen this type of candidate before (overseas) and it ended badly for the country.

Bush and Obama were ideologues.

Clinton was a deal-maker and was far more successful. Trump is a deal-maker. We will see if the left will become reasonable at some point. If they do, I think they can work together and get a lot of good things done.

He's got a populist streak that reminds me of Orban (Hungary). Perhaps that was the "election face", and what we see in office is the businessman.

So far the things that have happened has told me that. Oblunder was/is such a narcissist that if anyone didn't agree with him he was wrong. Right now even though he's going out he's such an ego-maniac he just won't shut up. Good thing he'll just be another Unholywood celebrity where no one cares what he thinks or says.

Well Obama is on the other hand of the spectrum from Trump. Obama has this "I think I know better than you as to what you want and need" type of thing going.

It's been 8 years since we've had a deal maker/negotiator. Remember Bush's, it's not the deal I wanted but it's the deal that's best for the county?

Obama has been this is what I want, and if you don't I'll use a pen and paper.

I'm always optimistic. Even if he does hold up his word, creates millions of jobs by bringing industry back, cuts taxes, helps the middle class, the left will always find something or make the well he's in Putin's pocket remarks.
