New Bowl Game in Wrigley?
Football will return to Wrigley Field in November of 2020, Cubs President Crane Kenney told the Tribune, with Northwestern's hosting multiple Big Ten games the team's "first priority."

More intriguing, Kenney said the Cubs "absolutely" intend to begin hosting an annual bowl game.

The bowl would be the first of its kind in the Chicago area, and the timing should be ideal.

I guess you could buy a ticket, go to a bar for pre-game, walk outside just before kickoff, realize that it is 10 degress outside and go back into the bar and watch the game on TV.

Just what the neighborhood hopes. And with Ricketts opening a hotel, additional bars and restaurants he could care less is you went in or not.

I am assuming its five games over five seasons or will they play multiple games during one season? "In 2013, the school and Cubs agreed to a "partnership" in which the iconic ballpark would showcase five Northwestern football games,"

If they do not want to use their stadium can we use it?

Certainly will have to be played after the second week in November. They play baseball until then in that place nowadays.

Woooo----football in late December near the lake---obviously not a good combination recently.

I remember when Illinois played Northwestern at Wrigley a few years back, one of my favorite games in recent memory.

The weather is freezing cold in many NFL cities and they have no problem selling tickets. People will still show up and more importantly this will make money. This isn't like a Tuesday Night NIU game where people use weather as an excuse not to go. The Bears sold out 98.2% of their seats this season and they were complete garbage.

That's what they said about the Potato Bowl.

Hope you are correct. This must be great news then.
