Team
I don't think the players this year have ever heard the old saying, "there is no "I" in team. One player gets the ball and dribbles around until they can get a shot off or the defense forces them to pass the ball. On many trips down the court, there isn't even one pass.......it's totally one on one play. We take so many bad shots at the end of all the dribbling around, it's only because the other team is almost as bad as us that we are still in the game. Generally there is some kind of offensive set to at least start from.......but I haven't even seen that yet. As I've said before, it is hard to watch this team(and I use that term loosely) play!!!!

RE: Team
I think that has to do with the offensive "structure". Some offenses are very deliberate, others not so much. The frustration is when the offense breaks down or when the ball is in the wrong guys hands. I know that I feal really feal secure when Taplin has the ball, but not so much with some of the others. What I'm seeing this year is the improvement of the young kids' skills and its dramatic for the most part. I guess I expected the worse at the beginning since we had graduated all those seniors who had played so much in the past. But the kids now are improving day by day. It was rocky when we were soundly losing to Jacksonville St. That was scary.

Beating UCONN, Memphis and Temple (road) is a good year so far. IMO

RE: Team
I think we have some talent......and many of these players were the "man" on their high school team.......it takes time for them to realize every time they touch the ball, they aren't the main or only scoring threat on the team, which is what it looks like now. Drive the lane.....the defense collapses......PASS the ball to the open man instead of ending up with no shot or a very poor one. They are learning, but for now it's still a lot of one on one. After ECU, the road gets tougher and hopefully we can win a couple of those games.
