Vegas has MTSU as a very slight favorite. KenPom.com has moved Rice back into its top 100 (after our convincing road win at Charlotte) and gives us a slight edge tonight. It could go either way, but this is a key matchup. Rice is poised to serve notice this weekend just how strongly we intend to contend for a top 4 spot in the standings... and maybe even which of those top 4 spots we might have our sights on.
As our only meeting with MTSU, tonight's game would also be a tiebreaker if the two teams happen to finish with the same conference record, which could be very handy when tournament seeding is set.
