Everyone, make sure you've got some food and bottles of water at home, as well as blankets and things to do in case the power goes out. I know it'll only be about 8" in Norfolk, but that might as well be 3 feet considering how well the city handles snow.

And make sure you charge your phones and other devices Friday night

Coming down to the Norfolk area Sunday morning so the roads should be good by then.

Highways MIGHT be okay at some point late on the 8th. But if we get feet all the side roads will be trashed for a few days at least. Yeah, we only have like a handful of trucks. Totally not geared up, especially in Chesapeake.

Crazy. You guys are going to get pounded and we're going to get very little if anything.

Yeah roads on Sunday will suck outside of the interstates. AVOID!

The problem is, it's not supposed to get above freezing until like Tuesday. So it ain't going anywhere, which means relying totally on VDOT and cities to clear roads. Which means you're better off just walking.

Models 30 min ago say more now. GFS came into agreement and is now north and could be like 10-14" for SE Chesapeake.

How weird is it that eastern North Carolina of all places is in the bullseye for big snow? Here I am in D.C. and for once we're too far north.

Insane. Good thing we're not inviting football recruits in over the weekend. If so Bobby, feel free to bring them to the DC area for a more expansive view of CUSA weather in the mid-Atlantic. Lol.

Cleaning up 10 inches of snow in a day is a pretty tall task for Hampton Roads.
