UT opens the conference season with two home games. Sure would be nice to see the Rockets get off to a good start.

Anyone find out for certain why this game was moved to 6 PM? I hope it was worth it. TK didn't look thrilled at the low turnout when he was looking around during warm-ups. With students still on break, we didn't need any extra barriers to people attending tonight.

I could throw my basket of fries up in the air and not one person would be hit...that's how empty it is in here with 5 minutes til tip-off.

Early thoughts:

Toledo playing pretty good D
Rockets moving the ball well on offense
This is a shell of the Buffalo team of recent seasons. Even their experienced returnees seem a bit out of sorts.

27-16 Rockets at the 7:47 media timeout. Sanfords hit a couple 3s but the offense had slowed a bit with Jon Jon resting. Rocket D had gotten a bit soft as Buffalo has now figured out that you can dribble drive against us.

Roberts may not be big or an offensive threat but I like the on-the-ball D he's been playing the last few games including so far tonight.

39-19 Toledo with just under 4 minutes left. Last bucket for us came on a ripped rebound by Steve Taylor Jr. who then fed a streaking Jon Jon perfectly for a layup.

Is UB any good?

Nice 1st half by the Rockets - don't let down.

46-25 good guys at the half.

It's even hard for me to find anything to gripe about that first half.

Haven't seen Buffalo play this season so I have no idea if this half is indicative of their play this season. I know they lost some key guys from last season but they also have some returnees who have hurt Toledo in the offense past; right now, they look very disjointed particularly on the defensive end of the court. Hope it continues in the next 20 minutes.

No Antunez and Gordon is dressed? Did we lose our third Spaniard in three years?

Never mind-he's there. Just that I missed warmups and he's wearing a t-shirt on the bench.
