PJ is the local fan favorite for next coach but every comment about him, every comment, seemingly references his skills at self-promotion. Also how Row The Boat fits in nicely here in the land of 10,000 lakes and the Vikings Love Boat cruise.....

Look for Jerry to find him a spot at Rutgers...

Let them know that PJ wouldn't be bringing his favorite catch phrase with him. It was trademarked by WMU.

Why? He supports his friend and the rest of the coaching staff that were fired, unjustly in many people's opinion. I give Coach Kill a lot of respect for standing up for his guys.

Saw on twitter that Fleck met with Minnesota AD in Chicago today. Mentioned he was offered job and has a day to accept. Not sure how credible it is.

Matt limegrover should be our next head coach.

Just random comment, but i just looked at his bio. That is one smart dude. And successful.

Apparently Kevin Sumlin (sp? don't really care) from Texas A&M has reared his head as a candidate.

Haven't seen Sumlin's name mentioned anywhere in connection with Minnesota job.

That would be a strange move for Sumlin, unless he has a connection to Minnesota or the new AD.

God no. His offense was like watching paint dry.

Kill. NIU ties
Claeys. NIU ties
Fleck: NIU ties

(It's interesting that whenever NIU is mentioned within these coaching searches for the Goophers, NIU is always referred to favorably but sometimes the MAC overall is dinged.)

What a hard situation to put him in. Back admin lose the respect of the players and see how you do...back the players and get fired.

Seems to me the MN admin is far more concerned with their pride above anything else. Claeys was a good fit for the school and continued to show he could progress what kill started.

Solely a matter of pride.

Minnesota fired football coach Tracy Clayes on Tuesday in wake of the football team's boycott of practices last month. The players were protesting the suspensions of 10 Minnesota players for their alleged roles in a reported gang rape of a female student in September. Clayes went 11-8 after taking over for Jerry Kill in October 2015.

Oh wow. I am guessing his support of the players during the boycott didn't go over too well. I would imagine they will be taking it to the streets and going on another boycott for their former head coach

Thanks! Now I can't get The Doobie Brothers out of my head.

Maybe the Huskies could use a new Defensive Coordinator.

This has been confirmed through multiple media sources. He is as good as gone.
