My question is why Antigua was at USF at the start of this year.

Yes, let's eliminate the non-conference fluff.

Lebo was 27-37 (.422) in C-USA conference games and is 11-28 (.282) in AAC games.

Murray Bartow is pretty decent upgrade over Antigua. Bartow has a 317-238 overall record and he took UAB and ETSU to four (4) NCAA tournaments and three (3) NITs.

It is kind of strange that he was just hired as an assistant coach at USF in August 2016 and now he is the HC. So I guess we can assume that the USF administration probably already knew that they were going to fire Antigua and that Bartow was going to be his replacement. So USF might end up smelling like a rose after this move.

Certainly possible they hired a coach in waiting without saying as much. Bartow certainly has a decent resume and you could do a lot worse. Guess we shall see.

Probation and "vacating" is such a joke. You wanna cause some damage, ban a school from the NCAA Tournament for a few years. Allow them in the NIT if you want but ban them from the Big Dance. Then, they'll really clean up.
