RE: NFL '17 draft order
Browns need to take the best player in the draft with the #1 pick regardless of position. They have a dearth of talent on both sides of the ball. Might be DE Allen from Bama or DE Garrett TXAM. I've watched them repeatedly over the years trade down from their highest pick and fail to pick up a franchise type player. Of course they have to listen to offers to trade out of the #1 overall pick but I would take top talent at this point in their rebuild.

They also have Philly's 12th pick in the first round and two second round picks to work with for either trading up or down. Is it possible Clemson's QB Watson falls out of the top 10? Probably not.

Just as important, who are potential first round picks that legitimately can help their NFL team win more games next year??

I really hope Vikings can get a first round pick for Adrian Peterson.

you are absolutely dreaming if the Vikings will get anything more than like a 6th or 7th rd pick for him. Other teams know the situation the Vikings are in and they aren't going to bail them out and absorb his contract. Just wait for him to get released and pick him up then.

A guy can dream.

Peterson is on record saying he wants to end his career as a Viking. Maybe he's willing to greatly reduce his salary, to avoid being cut. Or maybe he's just helping the team out, and thus helping himself out, by saying that as a ruse -- to get other teams to think that they will have to give something up to get him.
