Why were we so desperate to launch 3s the last couple minutes, particularly the last two possessions when we were down 2. I understand if you're open, but both Bravo-Harriot and Rokkanen forced 3s, and neither even caught rim.

Cullop needs to stop this little game of starting our third-string center, then bringing in our second-string center a couple minutes into the game, then bringing in our first-string center toward the end of the first quarter. I realize that Cullop knows a whole lot more about basketball and about her team than I do, but how does this possibly make sense? Against Detroit, Rasmussen left the game after three minutes with two fouls and never returned. Today, she left after three minutes with a missed layup and a turnover, and she never returned.

I can't think of a single player who played well today. Cunningham had a good first half. I'm glad to see Rokkanen getting minutes since she's offensive-minded.

Biggest concern is Janice, of course.
I can not speak for the coaches regarding Rasmussen starting. I do know from past experience that some players play better coming off the bench. They feel less pressure when coming in after play has started. After watching practices and games I am sure McIntyer will start when she learns to play better defense. She still gets lost on the defensive end of the court. Kaayla is by nature a quiet person. She has to become more vocal on defense. The post player is to the defense what the point guard is to the offense. Even though Sophia is not as athletic, she is a loud leader on defense. With experience Kaayla will grow at the defensive end making her more of a complete player and potential leader.
