Drove to c-ville for my 12:30 flight. Got there, delta had cancelled,and never contacted any of us. They tried to tell us we were the only ones they didn't contact until 8 more people showed up, furious. So we had to drive to regan. Then we had to fly across the entire country to Salt Lake City. 30 minutes to connect ran through the airport. Flew to Dallas,and just got to my hotel. 5 hours to sleep. Start to drink and root. Anything for my Dukes

Once again this is giving up rather than taking control. Fact: Birmingham, AL is 2.5 hours from ATL with a plane sitting at the gate to be boarded at 5:16 for a 5:46 departure to arrive at DFW at 7:55 and has lots of empty seats. I guess the next excuse will be Atlanta has no rental cars. This is what happens to a society where people are ingrained to allow themselves to be controlled.

I can guarantee you the fans who could not fly out of Charlottesville and chose to drive up to National, then fly completely across the country, before boarding another plane to come down to TX, didn't allow "the system" to keep them from achieving their goals.

I'm sorry, but I have limited sympathy for those who allow themselves to be coddled.

You have no idea what your are talking about. We sat on the runway for three hours learned our flight was canceled at 1am. Our best option is what we are doing. Coddled no....you being an add yes

THIS! Got lucky and dodged weather problems getting here last night. Even got in a little ahead of schedule. But car rental at DFW is a clusterf*ck if you are in any kind of a hurry. Even if the rental company is efficient, and Thrify/Dollar were the opposite of that last night, possible long wait for the bus, long ride to the rental place, and a long drive just to get out of the airport complex to officially get on the road to Frisco.

Brutal trip to get here (thanks for the free tour of America Delta) sorry for all the Dukes that got hosed / couldn't make it. There were some sad stories on not making it. I drank and rooted for you all of you all today. Today was magical

Next January ... when the Dukes go for two-in-a-row! :)

Anyone still around? Dropped my people off at DFW and have a few hours to kill before my flight at 7.

I'm sure there are lots of stories of full flights of majority JMU fans going back to DCA/IAD/BWI on Sunday. Buddy of mine said his flight back to RIC on Sat night was at least 1/2 JMU. My 0620 am flight on AA to PHL Sunday, an Airbus A321 was I'd say around half (80-100) JMU.

Virgin Sunday afternoon out of DAL was well over 75% dukes.

After reading this thread, i'm so grateful that my boss is awesome, understands how much I root and let us take thursday through monday off. That extra buffer day on the front end and direct flights from dulles to dallas were huge in hindsight.
