Yes he is a solid player. I don't care how skinny he is.

I know it is the holidays, but this crowd feels too sparse. They are missing out on a really fun game to watch.

What a mouse on JT4 forehead.

It swelled up in a nano second.

Get him out and ice that mouse.

We need Dr. Freddie Perchancho (sp), the fight doctor.

This was a game I was really looking forward to. But without Justin Bibbins, the preseason Big West POTY, they are no match for us.

I'm continually impressed with Jordan Nobles. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes and has such a good feel for the game. All that on top of being a long, skilled athlete. Could be an All-MAC performer before his time here is done.

Yes Aaron the bench came in and we came back from being behind besides nobles I thought madray had a productive game enjoyed being there in person and seeing the team play up to its potential loved seeing the beach coach griping and getting the t

Glad the OOC season is over. These are really POOR predictors of conference season.

Normally one would look at a team's home OOC schedule and say they should way say 80% of games against like opponents.

Our schedule is a mess with only TWO home mid-majors.

I looked at the LBSU schedule, sent it to a friend, and he thought it would be good for KY or Duke. Their schedule is absolutely brutal.

http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/lbst...227aaa.pdf

I watched a MEAC game yesterday. That team has YET to play a D-I game at home.

There is an old saying in statistics: "You can't make good statistics out of bad data."

In these cases, trying to make intelligent inferences about LBSU, EMU and the MEAC team is almost folly. I think sometimes folks try to over-analyze bad data and try to come up with valid conclusions.

How good is LBSU? I don't know. How good is EMU? I don't know.

The only thing I know about EMU is that we have MUCH more talent and depth then last year. Based on that, alone, I'll predict a good conference season.

First off, it was a nice win over LBSU. I've been impressed with Nobles outside shooting and we need to credit Nobles and coaching staff for his development. Nobles will be key because we could have Nobles, Lee, and Mangum outside preventing double team down on JT4 in post. However, we need to run a structured offense to take advantage of the mismatches.

Steve,

I believe we have enough historical data to extrapolate the following prediction:

1) EMU has equivalent talent as Akron or Ohio (IE we have top 1/4 tier talent)
2) We play zone 100℅ of the time that the MAC coaches understand how to attack.
3) We don't have a structured offense and when playing against a decent defense we take bad shots from being impatient but our talent enables us to score more times than not.

4) We lose 2 games at home we had no business losing and win 2 games on the road that we had no business winning.

This leads us to finishing 2 games over .500 in MAC play. We win first round MAC tourney game but the second game is a toss up.......

I hope I'm wrong and we finish 4 games over .500 in Conference play but history usually repeats unless changes are made :-)

Now that the issue of MAC games and schedules are on our minds:

I suggest we have a BIG advantage this season starting with TWO MAC games at home.

The team has been at home for a while with Marygrove and LBSU.

Having said all of that, NO excuses for a slow start in the MAC. EMU, like a good race horse, should break well, establish the lead and hold the MAC West going in the MAC tourney.

Don't be surprised to see a breakout year ala EMU FB.

That is as close to a prediction as I'll make here...

Steve, you have more confidence in the coaching staff than a lot of us. If Murphy had a system that brought out the best in his talent then I'd say EMU wins the MAC. But he doesn't so they'll be around. 500 again.

I am at 10-8 none of our forwards have been as solid as Nazi or even price and we still live or die based on our outside shooting as we did last year I gave us a game plus because hopefully we wonton get a game stolen by terrible refs
