RE: 2017 OOC schedule
For this board I'd set the under/over at 17.5.

For the most part these are the types of schedules our programs need to have each year, we just need to start winning more as a whole. Ark St. included.

RE: 2017 OOC schedule
not to be trolling, but isn't 4-0 possible for each and 0-4 the worst case for all.

Seriously though, I think App will most likely be either 3-1 or 2-2 likely you said.

Also looking ovER that list, I don't really see any FCS losses as reasonable. GA Southern and ULL are playing the best clubs in UNH and Southeastern La, but they should be able to handle those teams. The rest of us are playing playing dogs.

We'll gladly switch with y'all and let y'all play UNH while we play Savannah State High School. Please?

Sadly, I would change this to 3-1 possible, 0-4 worst case.

I know we have better talent than UNH but Sean McDonnell is probably the most underrated coach from the FCS level or above. He has beaten more than a few poorly-coached G5 teams there before. He has UNH in the playoffs almost every year in a team that has at best second-rate FCS facilities.

UMass may be bad again next year but Mark Whipple has won there before and you can't mark them off.
We better go a minimum of 2-2 against that OOC schedule!

Three games against the SunBelt next year, with two at home and an away opener at Coastal. Neal Brown looks good at Troy.

Our record was bad, but only one bad lose to Tulane.

Back to the thread, AppState is the only one of the three games that I would circle as a probable loss.

I don't doubt that App beats SSU, but I think their new coach has them headed in the right direction, I don't think you'll see them as quite the pushover that they have been over the last several years.

RE: 2017 OOC schedule
based on what I have seen of SSU in the past years, the talent gap between App and SSU is behind almost any chance of them making this a competitive game, this one should be over really quick, if our starters are still playing mid-third, then SS will have to answer some questions after the game.

Cajuns will go 1-3 in OOC. Which means we would be 4 conference losses away from a new coach.

Lots of opportunities for the Sun Belt to make some noise.

I like going all FBS, if you have been winning at a high rate. I dont see how skipping on a FCS game while you are down helps at all.

The difference between FBS and FCS is largely line play. With the type of offense App runs and the vision of the backs, Moore may have 200 yards by halftime.
