WBB Game 11. ODU (5-5) vs ETSU (7-7)
The LM will end there non conference season on the road against the East Tennessee State University Bucs on Wed. ETSU is located in Johnson City, TN. It is a town that bottled Mountain Dew when it first started. (At the time they were already bottling another soft drink called Dr Enuf) Eventually the rights were sold to the Tip Corporation and they started bottling Mountain Dew in Marion, VA. Even though the Mountain Dew Festival has gone on for more than 50 years in Marion the origins of the soft drink can be traced right back to Johnson City, TN.

The team's best player is Tianna Tarter. She broke 1,000 career points for ETSU this season and was a first team All-SoCon last season. She leads the team in every major catergory. Bridges and Lytton are the definitetion of three point threats. 60% of what Bridges shoots is behind the arc while 81% of what Lytton shoots is from downtown. They are a decent rebounding team overall. When 6'1" So F Sadasia Tipps comes off the bench, she is a really good rebounder on the offensive end. They do like rotate players in and out. Only Bridges and Tarter will see more than 20 minutes of game action.

AST/TO RATIIO:
ETSU: 0.6 ODU: 0.8
Bottom line. Two .500 teams will play each other. ODU is looking for it's first victory on the road. This is not a great ETSU team, but they have the home field advantage. So it would be a good win for the LM to win before they begin ConUSA play on the road. Also they beat us at home last year, so I really would like some revenge.
At this point in the season, beating ETSU won't impress anyone for the WNIT or the NCAA tournament. But losing to them would do more harm if we need to get a WNIT bid. NCAA at large bid, forget about it. Our wins aren't worthy enough for that.... Basically we need to win the Con USA title to advance to the tournament.
