Wasn't there a decrease in his buyout? I think that is the reason.

We (UC fans) told you so.

Seriously. We tried to warn UConn fans what was coming. We saw what type of coach Disco Diaco was when he was the DC at Cincinnati.

You all are better without him.

Now for something that'll be freaking hilarious if true.....scuttelbut on the Tweet-deck (Twitter) has Diaco going back to Cincy as DC. 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

I thought that he was a good Defensive Coordinator. Perhaps I'm crazy, but I think that's a good move for Bob and the Bearcats. The only issue that I have with any of this is the timing, but that's between Bob and the UConn administration.

Word is our AD lined up Kill as OC and Bob refused to hire him.

We have another coach lined up, there would not be donors without knowing the alternative.

If I am the AD at Rutgers, I hire Schiano. I am in my 50s and he is the only coach in my lifetime to win at Rutgers. Not only did he win, he won consistently after a few years of rebuilding. Rutgers is where coaching careers go to die. To be fair, NJ puts out a ton more talent than the entire New England region. But he knows how to recruit FL and that will cover a multitude of sins.

Only #UConn would wait till every decent candidate has been hired by other teams to fire their coach and pay a $4 million buyout w/ no plan.

How's Memphis doing in the big 12 Mr. C. Austin Cox?

Not when you take into account the talent produced in New England and the drop off in talent from the Mid-Atlantic states. UConn, UMass, Maine, BC, URI & UNH are doomed programs. Mike Aresco lives in New England, he knows just how barren the region is for football talent.
, you have no idea what you're talking about Boston College just beat Maryland in the quick lane bowl

On the 102 man BC roster, 22 are from New England (with six of that number being walk-ons)

How about Greg Schiano or Al Golden? or Don Brown at Michigan? All have proven they can recruit in the Northeast.

Let me start by saying, yes, I know that Pirate football and basketball are both dumpsterfires, and our AD doesn't seem to have a clue...

BUT, why in the world did UConn wait so long to give Diaco the ax? He should have been fired after getting blown out by ECU.

@Aaron_Torres
If this Randy Edsall to UConn stuff is true, this was the single worst coaching firing/search in the history of football. Not exaggerating
