10+ wins
Has the conference ever had two teams with 10+ win in the same season?

Also two 25 wins this season, 4-1 in bowls so far.

No. We almost did it last year. Both stAte and Southern won 9 games and App won 11.

Should this be considered the best season yet for the SBC?

Another thing I'm pretty sure is a first...we had a team with a losing conference record make a bowl game.
Bet that hasn't happened in any G5 or non-AQ conference from the BCS era.
Nothing cool if you're a South Alabama fan, but kind of neat for the conference.

Yes, The top 4 teams combined for 37 wins. More than any other season to my knowledge, though last year was close
In terms of OOC play, I think 2013 was still the best season though.

I'm not entirely sure on this I'd have to check to be sure. USA is the first 2-6 SBC team to make a bowl though.

North Texas won the Belt title our first year as a football conference at 5-7 in 2001 and was our first representative to play in a bowl game. South isn't a losing team this year either, btw - we're .500 (6-6).

Plus the conferences first ranked Team. That's a big glass ceiling broken

With a losing Conference record. Meaning you guys kicked ads OOC, but weren't good in conference. This can imply that the conference schedule was strong since you did so well OOC. This shows an improved SBC.
Not a knock on USA, but just a 1st for the conference. Unless unt had a losing Conference record.

I'm hoping you end up with a winning season after your bowl game.

RE: 10+ wins
The SBC is trending up.
More wins = More tv = More fans = More Money = Better recruits (meaning the other conferences would start trending down as we take the best G5 recruits) = even more wins
I think we've almost wiped away that archaic reputation as the worst football conference and handed that to the MAC or CUSA.

Okay, gotcha. Yes, it does show the conference is competitive and cannibalistic in nature, just like the SEC often does by sending losing (in conference) teams to bowl games too.

While maybe not the P5 wins in OOC we beat quite a few OOC G5 teams with 9 or more wins.

Going back and looking at it, there were 3 potentially 4 (If USA beats Air Force) OOC wins over 9 win teams that I know of. Texas State and Troy both get points for beating Ohio, AState and Troy get a few points for beating Southern Miss and UCF on the road respectively. Idaho's win over CSU was nice as well.
I think the biggest difference between this and 2013 is We've been able to use our bowl games to really help us this year. We only had two bowl games in 2013, and despite winning both, finishing as the top rated g5 that year was more because of the regular season.

We had a win over 9 win Toledo and one over 10 win Old Dominion.

I phrased the post weird, but the 3 wins over 9 win teams that I know of are your two wins and USA's over SDSU.
