Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Eve
The last eight or nine years watching this bowl has become a Christmas Eve tradition.

Fun game so far. Middle Tennessee burst out to a 14-0 lead but Hawaii has roared back and leads 38-21 early in the 3rd.

What a turnaround for first year coach Rolo.
Hawaii on the comeback and ready to make waves next year.

Rolo is for real.

If he can recruit the athletes he's targeting, UH will once again have a very competitive program.

You must really love watching bad CFB. Good for you. I could do that up until my early 20s but cant stomach those games at all anymore.

I understand, you're a Bengals fan, and good luck to them. But as a disinterested observer, IMO there obviously isn't any AFC team that is going to beat the Patriots so those games are all pointless.

The only interesting NFL question right now is "is the NFC going to produce a team that will give the Patriots a good game in the Super Bowl, or not"?

It was "lousy football" but it was fun offense.
Stockstill kid for MTSU is a helluva QB. Add Franklin as OC and the RB transfer from Ole Miss and they are fun to watch but lawz their defense sucks.

The former UH athletic director who suggested that could happen -- and then retracted the boneheaded comment within hours, but not before it had gone viral and the damage was done -- left the job two years ago. He claimed he was resigning for "personal family reasons" but the more likely reason is that most of the fan base was clamoring for his dismissal. His replacement has said repeatedly that dropping football is not an option for UH since the revenue loss would exceed the cost savings.

Maybe that what was needed to get refocused and light a fire under the program.

It still took another year to fire Norm Chow, which was the most important step in turning the program around. But ironically the former AD's misstatement may have helped accelerate that process by undermining Chow's already poor recruiting efforts. His February 2015 recruiting class was ranked 123rd nationally and 11th in the MWC, which was a contributing factor to the 2015 team's underperformance and Chow's resulting dismissal.

Actually I'm a Cowboys Fan....can't stand the Bengals...and contrary to popular belief in Louisville you have more Cowboys and Steelers fans than Bengals or Colts...truly a neutral NFL city.

More than anything...the NFL games on Saturday pretty much killed the Bowls....now the rest of the week after tonight the Bowls will get center stage.

And in the AFC...watch out for the Chiefs...Travis Kelcie and Tyreek Hill are difference makers and that Chiefs Defense is getting healthy....as for the NFC, if our pass rush is consistent with the David Irving and the return of DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory....forget the Patriots...it will be #6 for Jerry Jones, Zeke Elliott, Dak and Dem Boyz and the current 12-2 America Team...07-coffee3

As a Chiefs fan we aren't going to the Super Bowl when Alex Smith is your QB.

As a Chiefs fan we aren't going to the Super Bowl when Alex Smith is your QB.

If the Giants can win with that turnover machine-(Eli Manning) you can win with Alex Smith...especially when you have Justin Houston-(if healthy), Dontari Poe, Chris Jones, Dee Ford, Marcus Peters and Eric Berry on that extremely talented defense.
