The MAC is still winless this bowl season. The AAC is having an extremely poor bowl season, but we are having an even worse one. This doesn't leave us any room to smack talk. Let's leave that to the other G5 that have actually won a game...

MAC fans know we aren't anywhere near a power conference and understand we typically struggle in bowl season.

AAC teams, meanwhile, wear "P6" stickers on their helmets because they insist they are a Power conference, reality be damned. Posters on their message board refer to themselves as "P6" and deride the rest of us as "G4." Their commissioner bellyached about other conference champions' "resumes" (read: WMU).

Therein lies the difference.

No one will deny the AAC is better than the MAC. But the arrogance noted above is leaving many to root against them and shine a schadenfreudian spotlight on their 3-10 bowl record dating back to last season.

I get the hate against AAC, but we literally have someone on our board bragging about how little they lost to a 5-7 team that was only bowling in the 1st place because there weren't enough bowl eligible teams.

RE: This is why the MAC is the MAC
Can we put to rest this thought that Tuesday night games in November provide exposure that helps recruiting? We've been doing this for what, 10 years? Obviously, the MAC has not improved relative to other conferences, and is not getting better recruits than they use to. If there's a reason for the ESPN deal, it's money only, nothing else.
