A number of posters from the AAC boards...
...have PM'd me to ask whether I would have an interest in being a mod for their board. It was very flattering to be asked.

Sorry forgot to add the question to the rest of the group. Should I accept a mod position for the AAC board, or just be content with being asked? I don't know much about what goes on over on their side of the tracks, but at the same time I have little tolerance for trolling.

It is flattering. But do you think they really value you, OR your Big XII expansion sources?

Which brings up the philosophical question --- what is a message board poster? Does he include the sum of all his sources, or is a message board poster just what he is by himself?

Probably best to consult with your sources in Thailand before making a final decision.

We already have numerous resident trolls, why would we need a new one in Miko?

It is like handing the keys to the inmates at an insane asylum if miko is being made a mod.

Because he is not just another troll. Other trolls idolize him. You would be getting the king of trolls, an artisanal troll, if you will.

You should visit the AAC board... The inmates are already running the show over there.

I'm no fan of Miko, but he could hardly be worse than some of the names already dominating the show over there.

I don't troll on these boards. I will convey info whenever I come across it. Check out my posting history for the past few months and you'll see that I'm not the trolling type.

I think I'm going to decline the requests. I think trying to clean up the AAC board is going to be next to impossible. It's like a number of the posters over there were infested with a type of troll virus. I think any new mod over there would have to issue a lot of bannings and then the board would become a ghost town. It may be best to set that board up to be a quasi leper colony, where you can leave them to their own devices but quarantine them from the remaining healthy boards. IDK, just spitballing with this idea.

That may not be a bad idea. If we can get the rest of us healthy posters here to come up with ideas to help the AAC board with their issues, then perhaps we can make the forum better for all of us.

Thoughts?

You would be surprised. Many people PM'd me asking me to accept the AAC mod position. I'm not sure that I'd have the time needed to police that place. It's like the wild west over there. Besides, not sure if I want to rub elbows with those people anyways. Some interaction is fine, but on a daily basis it could get tedious. No offense to any AAC posters though. Love you guys.

The AAC board is infected with a virus - the P6 virus. Symptoms include hysteria, delusion and a thirst for the blood of members from the MWC, MAC, C-USA, Sun Belt.

If posters wish to avoid contracting the P6 virus, they must avoid contact with the infected at all costs.
