A federal indictment unsealed Wednesday alleges eight individuals, including a former Marshall University football player, conspired to distribute large quantities of heroin in Huntington.

Lang was charged with conspiracy in the indictment. The former strong safety played for the Herd through the 2015 season. In April, he was arrested on DUI and gun charges after Huntington police found him asleep in a running vehicle. Marshall dismissed him from the team in August for "violation of team rules and policies."

It is unclear if his alleged involvement with the conspiracy took place while he was on the Herd roster.
