MERRY CHRISTMAS ya filthy animals!
Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas. Embrace the blessings of the seasons - be kind to others (for some of you this may be harder than it sounds!) and have a prosperous and Happy New Year. 04-cheers

And if anyone is looking for a nice place to make an end of year donation...keep the Diesel Memorial Project in mind if you haven't already donated. (We are an official not for profit registered with the State of IL as well as the IRS. We recently received a generous $500 donation directly from the First National Bank of DeKalb!) You know this project is close to my heart so I had to make a plug for it. 04-cheers

Here the link in case you need it. https://www.gofundme.com/uqs9qmrn

RE: MERRY CHRISTMAS ya filthy animals!
I actually made a $100 donation to the "filthy animal" statue months ago. Mainly making up for my lost self-bet of having to wear NIU gear (where my self-made shirt was denied being made by tshirt company!) in relation to a NIU/WMU game last year.

I remember that you did. All of us on the Diesel Memorial Project committee were very touched by your generosity. Thanks again, Todd. Merry Christmas!

We'll be cheering for WMU in the Cotton Bowl! 04-cheers

You donated once the GoFundMe page was confirmed to be a dud. You knew you'd get your money back because the goal would not be reached. Empty gesture.

There's plenty of other t-shirt companies out there, you can still own up to your bet.

The Diesel Memorial Project Go Fund Me page is legit. The project is going to happen and we are very thankful for Todd's donation. It was very generous & much appreciated.

I never said it wasn't legit. It's a dud. It's a dud in the sense that the GoFundMe page will not reach the 25k needed to reach the goal. Seven months in and it's not even at the halfway mark. Most of that was in the initial surge. It barely passed $100 in the past month.

I'd be curious to see what Todd does with the $100 once it is returned to him.

RE: MERRY CHRISTMAS ya filthy animals!
I am still rooting for the success of this project, my wife and I made a donation through the GO FUND Me page and as far as I am concerned if for some reason the project can not happen, the team that organized and led the effort can keep my donation and use it to offset any expenses that were incurred or they are free to donate it to NIU in a manner that makes the most sense to them when the time comes.

I really do hope that the project is a success though, it was a very creative idea and it is a fitting tribute to Diesel and his fine family.
