Yep. Dont get it

32 degrees with a weeks notice in Bowling Green, KY vs 75 degrees in a vacation paradise in South Florida with several weeks of preparation while countless people have time off from work for the Holidays.

I think im just surprised (pleasantly) (proud) with the size crowd we had in Boca

I agree with your point, but you think we only had 10k in NO??

The historic Crampton Bowl only holds 21,000 people. Even if the teams don't travel, Alabama folks are football freaking crazy and will bring fans. Many of these tickets are cheap, free, or are sold through corporate sponsorship. It's a good idea for ESPN, though. Since these games are going to be sparsely attended and they are only played to fill their TV slots, play in tiny stadiums. There should be one in Norfolk, VA. It would be a "packed house." It would look good on TV. Most viewers wouldn't be the wiser.

Norfolk and Charleston would be decent locations for the eastern portion of C-USA and Sun Belt.

Never heard an official number and just went with last number I heard that was rumored. At most I'd guess 15k

There's no official number I guess. But if the game had 35k and change, and we outnumbered the other team and had the lower two sections of Dome in gold, I would not guess 10k unless I was guessing low-number on the Price is Right.

RE: Bowl game attendances
With the La Tech vs Navy game attendance of 40k+ it takes the lead and also the top 3 bowl games to date are games involving CUSA teams.

I heard from 2 different sources this evening that over 40K was announced at the LA Tech-Navy game. It certainly sounded like it.

I missed out on the La Tech game. I taught about making the 3hr trip north from Austin to go check it out. It was a beautiful foggy day I should have gone. I'm going to be kicking myself over it. Missed a good game and an awesome crowd.

I was thinking of going to the HOD but since I'll be in Arlington for the MNF game not sure if I'm willing to make back to back trips to the Dallas area on Monday and then Tuesday morning.

I believe 40,532 is what they tweeted.

I see myself!

But yeah it was a nice crowd, even if we were outnumbered by an armed force at the Armed Forces Bowl.

I can tell you for sure we brought more fans than Cal did last year. By a whole lot.

This is a great bowl game; in my opinion one of the best in the C-USA rotation. 40,754 in 2012 when Rice played Air Force.

La Tech looked good and represented C-USA well.

Agreed, it was a fun game to watch. So glad the Gawgs pulled this one out.

On a side note... I hope Army can bring a similar crowd to the HOD on Tuesday. I expect the HOD attendance to top that of the Armed Forces. I still believe 50K is possible.

Navy is AAC, not independent. But how in the world is the AAC going to spin the rest of this?
