Just three weird things. One I looked at the MAC gymnastic poll which picked KSU to win the regular season. The coaches vote and each team received one vote to win the end of the year championship. Are the coaches trying to tell us something about what they think of the poll? Hard to believe it wasn't a set up.

Two is it just me or is everybody tired of reading stories on the web site about team GPA's. I know that is why you go to school but it certainly doesn't make for interesting reading. How about one story every season recognizing the students who do well and leave it at that.

Three, Kilgore's banner in the arena is generating some negative comments when people see he went to school from 2007-2013. Most people don't realize that he took a year off for an Olympic red shirt ( actually most people don't even know what an Olympic red shirt is). There needs to be a way to change that. Maybe put up he was 197 pound NCAA champion from the class of 2013.

1) Yes, the gymnastics coaches are saying the poll is dumb.
2) I am more interested in majors. Skip the GPAs and tell me how many students are majoring in subjects I care about (like math and physics).
3) I had a tee-shirt that said "Kent State, the best 5 or 6 years of my life". Turned into 7 when I get right down to it (4.5 for undergrad and 2.5 for grad). Anyone who comments that Kilgore takes a long time is being silly. To me, the biggest question is 'did he graduate?' If yes, I absolutely am proud of the young man.

I agree with point three I just hate to see Kilgore being part of a dumb jock joke. By the way they do list the students majors and there are a few chemistry and physics majors.

Maybe you should have the name, picture of wrestling and then "B.S., Criminal Justice 2013". That would remind everyone of the academic as well as the athletic accomplishment.
