Lol .. it may matter to a few die hard fans,
But anything we say here literally means nothing. It's a discussion board for a mutual interest we all share. Nothing more or nothing less. If a player or coach reads this and gets offended or it effects their play, then they are weak minded and need to grow up..

The real problem is there is no love on the team.

Lionel Love that is.

Good thing you are on duty on your job to call me out any time I post.

You're way too hard on people that say ANYTHING negative about UAB, and you come off as condescending. It's annoying. You aren't Bartow, Hill, or Volker. You aren't the only authority on all things UAB. There are a lot of people here that love UAB as much as you do, but do it their own way. Let people vent, have their opinions, and quit being so condescending. If we weren't real fans we wouldn't waste our time as adults posting on a goofy message boards with people we mostly don't know.

I appreciate the fact that you love UAB as much as you do, and I love all of your history and stats that you've recorded. However, the things I mentioned above really drive me up the wall, and I know it bothers others, too.

Just my two cents. That and $5 would buy you a night out with blazers9911's mom.

What was UT's 3 pt. shot percentage heading into our game? Did we hold them to their average? I have feeling we didn't

(please forgive me for posing a question like this. I feel like BAMANBLAZERFAN without the quotations)

Go Blazers!

Hahaha at the BBF reference. I'm not sure of the exact stats but they exceeded their average.

Why do we blame Baxter again?

Baxter and Tyler played with a lot of heart tonight. So did Nate in the second half. Haha/Cokley didn't really seem to try.

I say start Watts and bench Lavender. Watts isn't flashy but he's a senior, doesnt make a bunch of mistakes, and can hit open 3's.

Next year, Norton will be the starting point guard and Bryant and will be the backup. Meaning Lavender should be playing exactly 0 minutes at the point guard spot the next 2 seasons. Not sure why we're trying to force him into being a starting point guard when that isn't his skill set, isn't his future, and we have a senior PG on the bench. It's time for that ill conceived experiment to end.

One of the most cringeworthy sequences occurred late in the first half when Shaka turned the Havoc pressure D on. Lavender was handling the ball and doing about as poorly as you'd expect (not his fault, but Watts/Baxter should've been handling the ball in that situation).

So basically we were the hapless team that Mike Anderson's teams used to feast on... And now we are beating those hapless teams by one at home in overtime..

That's my biggest gripe with Ehsan so far. It's been evident for a while now that we aren't very good at all with Lavender running point guard. Abandon the experiment. Start Watts and play him more minutes. It won't fix everything that's going on by any means, but it's a start.

Or the way we play Lee and Cokley together. Or the way we dont play Smallwood in the frontcourt.

Unbelievable

Yep, we have crappy fans.

Sorry I'm not ok with losing to Furman, having to scrape a win together vs. Southern, and getting blown out by an extremely average Texas team, with the talent we have on this team. What has he done?

I take it back. You are not a crappy fan. You are an uninformed ignorant fan who knows next to nothing about how a basketball program works.

Ah shucks, you're making me blush.

WKU down 7-21 to Ohio at home.

UTSA tied with the Utah Valley Wolverines at home with 9:30 left to play (Utah Valley is actually pretty decent).

2-7 UTEP about to play 1-11 Maryland Eastern Shore, should be a doozy.

The conference is just pretty bad all around lol.

A loss to GSU is not a bad loss

I was mainly referring to the other games

Edit: though it ended up being a decent night for CUSA other than the Massacre in Texas

A loss to Georgia State would only be a bad loss if UAB lost to them according to some on this board.
