Non Qualifiers
So....here is the policy of G4 vs AAC for taking Non Qualifiers:

AAC: Does not admit Non-Qualifiers

Conference USA
No policy; at schools’ discretion

Mid-American
No policy; at schools’ discretion

Mountain West
If high school athlete unqualified, permanently ineligible for MWC schools

Sun Belt
No policy; at schools’ discretion

only the MWC is inline with the AAC for non qualifiers

my guess is many G4 schools would be royally screwed if they took the AAC/MWC stance on non qualifiers...

RE: Non Qualifiers
So can MWC not take JUCOs or transfers if they weren't eligible when they graduated high school? That seems pretty strict.

It does and considering there's only one other conference in that part of the country (PAC 12) and that the PAC is strict on academic admissions, they'd be missing out on a lot of local talent. Boise gets some studs from Cali and Washington. I've always wondered how they got such great recruits. Their receivers, RB's and DB's have gone on to have good NFL careers, so I'm assuming they were 3 or 4 star recruits coming out of high school?
Cheers!

RE: Non Qualifiers
While the AAC and MWC are the only G5 conferences with this policy, there aren't as many G5 members that take them as you suspect.

Marshall, Troy, Arkansas State...
