Bennett has hired Eastman & Beaudine to help find a replacement for McGillis.
Beaudine, president and CEO of Eastman & Beaudine, was also involved in the process in 2013 when McGillis was tabbed for the USM job.

Finally. I'd been trying to remember the name of the one from Gulfport, but couldn't remember what his current job was, either, except that he was the head of something at a national level. I'd completely forgotten his name was Carr, too. He's another one I wouldn't at all mind.

People talk smack if we hire a coach from the SWAC; how do you think they'd react if we hired somebody from the NAIA? Those schools are teeny-tiny.

Well, the conference thing is pretty marginal at this point, but we do have more fans than Troy. Also, Troy is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

C-USA is the better conference and has more potential. However marginal that may seem at this point, it's still true. We have more fans. We are I a better location IMO. Also, he probably has a good number of years toward a MS retirement, more so than Alabama at least. I'm not saying he'll want it for sure. But those are some somewhat significant factors in our favor.

I could flip that around pretty easy.......but........I shall just say this. TROY BEAT US THIS YEAR!!

Deciding what's a better AD job is about a lot more than what team won the head to head football game this year. You know that beers.
