Bluegrass Rivalry.....UK vs UofL tonight
One of the most heated rivalries in the country takes place tonight at the Yum Center. Really strange with this game being on a Wednesday night. Traditionally it's been a Saturday game on CBS. Cards fans.....please convince me we can win. I am having a hard time trying to come up with some. I just do not think we will have enough offensive firepower to beat them. Hope I'm wrong but I don't feel good about this

Well, I thought We would have won the Football game ! Seems for most of the rivalry the school that won the football game lost the basketball game. There is a dim light of hope !

Bluegrass Rivalry.....UK vs UofL tonight
The game was moved to Wednesday because of ESPN, part of the ACC contract. When it's 60 miles to the east in hell it will be on CBS & they will likely move the game back.

Louisville has the advantage inside. The key though will be stopping their transition game. I think we have the speed to keep up. Our D needs to keep the game in the 70's or lower to give us the best chance at victory. I like our chances in a half court game, especially where we utilize our advantage inside. They haven't gone up against shot blockers like we have. Also, as someone else said, they pulled the upset in football so the basketball game is ours. I've got a good feeling about tonight.

It was a pickem game up until yesterday. Now it's Kentucky -1. So at least the betting public thinks you have a good chance.

This is, in fact true. Only 4 times since 1994, has there been a sweep in the series. Louisville twice (2003, 2013) and Kentucky twice (2009, 2010).

Sadly, I think those jagoffs will get the win tonight. I think our D will hold them under their normal production offensively, but I don't think our O will be able to keep up.

But I also thought we'd spank the ever loving crap out of them in football, so what the hell do I know???

I hate those fuc%ers though.

I can only speak for myself but I would rather have the football win. We would have been in the Orange and while I appreciate playing LSU, we could have been in the Orange.

Should be great for ratings though for the UVA, ND, and IU games coming up.
Should help with the Duke game as well unless they start tripping up.

Well ... I'll be ... we finally beat those bastards.

I guess it's true what they say ---- NOBODY beats Rick Pitino 9 out of 10 times!! 03-lmfao

This is sweet, if only because this is THE sport that those jack asses care about.

Having said that -- I would trade this for the football game everyday and twice on Sunday. Because in the end, it's just a basketball game in December. It really doesn't mean all that much.

But I am happy. Because UK isn't.

Until 5 or so years ago basketball nearly every year. Now it's a tough call most years. Each regular season football game has more importance than basketball, yet I don't have the same hate for anyone on the gridiron that I have for Calipari.

This season, a football win would have been more meaningful consequence wise, but a narrow football win as a 24 point favorite would not have been as satisfying as the win tonight. It's easy to say it's a December basketball game, but when it comes to bragging rights against friends and certain family members, it's tough to beat.

I would trade wins this year if allowed though.

Congrats Cards, still like to see you guys do well. Hope you do the same thing, when you play Duke and that punk Grayson Allen.
