If this starts becoming a pattern with multiple players, I'll start worrying. Until then, I bid the kid adieu and hope he finds whatever he's looking to find.

Cue U2's "I still haven't found what I'm looking for."

Doesn't matter if this is normal or not...it makes USM's program look like a chump, possibly because we've become one.

Bro, if you couldn't crack the starting lineup for THIS linebacker corps then.......maybe JuCo is the place for you.

RE: Dantzler Transferring
No one said it was a good thing. People just stated the facts. Which are that this happens a lot at every single program in the nation, under every coach. It doesn't make our program look bad because it's completely normal. Kids leave when they don't play. Simple concept. A lot of people on here don't like Hopson being our head coach. That is the sole reason why this is getting negative attention. I'm not the biggest Hop fan in the world either, but I'm not going to drum up some big sky is falling narrative because one kid decided to leave. If it happens at an unusually high rate, then I'll worry.

that was tongue in cheek, because we all know that's one of your multiple accounts on here.

ow

He's not clueless, he's just an *******. He knows he's not hurting the school at all...he also knows he's just pissing some people off who read the board. He's simply a troll. I don't mind trolls or I wouldn't respond to his tom foolery --- if he irritates you and you respond, he's winning the game he's playing.

Hypocrisy

Finally - someone gets it. This is why I have no problem with a kid transferring at any time, or not playing in a bowl game if that is what he decides is best. An 18 year old should never have to sign a letter of intent in the first place. And if he has too, then it should only be valid if the head coach and coordinators stay there his entire 4 years. Only athletic scholarships are tied to this and it's all in the name of the Almighty Dollar. Schools and coaches making hundreds of millions yet a kid can't do what he feels is best for himself or his family. That's bull****.

Anyone that gets mad at a kid for transferring really needs to re-evaluate. It's not the young athletes that are destroying college sports. It's the greedy, money hungry, SOB administrators and ESPN.

..that's why I've always been a big advocate for a football team to just go on strike....you've seen what happens when they have done that the last 2 times..(Missouri and Minnesota)..the administration will cave in quicker than a cat can lick its ass...can you imagine if Alabama and Ohio Skate and a few other teams said at the beginning of a season..."we ain't playin unless each of us get paid X amount of dollars each"......ESPN/ABC would freak the **** out....they would lose tens of Millions of dollars if the kids did that.

the players hold all the power.
