Last time we were in the GLI at the Joe I got tickets through WMU. This year I am going with a group of 8-10, and will buy tickets at the arena. Looks like there are general admission tickets and lower bowl reserved. Does anyone know, if we buy general admission, which is the entire upper bowl, will we be able to move down into the lower bowl when people from the first game vacate their seats? Also, can we buy the family pack deal at the stadium, or does that have to be purchased in advance?

There does not appear to be a general GLI website with information. At least not one that I found. This tournament used to be huge. Seems to have fallen a bit over the years. Too bad.

This is very winnable. Would be a great thing if we can win the tournament.

Last time I attended GLI was in early 2000s, but I assume that not much has changed with seating. They probably won't let you formally move down but because attendance is so bad for the non UM game (and even for the UM game), you can probably sneak down there. It's been reported that Olympia does all the legwork for the GLI out of the goodness of its heart.

I would say we are the GLI favorites. Mich is awful and so is MSU. Tech is good.

We can't afford to no-show this tournament. We're the best team among the four, but a loss to Michigan State would sting, and drop us in the Pairwise. A 4th place finish and we're very likely outside the Top 16 halfway through the season.

Nice of the tournament to seed 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 (I know this isn't how it works, but still nice).

Yes, MSU game is a MUST win. Really though, a loss to any of the teams would mean a pretty big drop in our pairwise.

I'm glad they're dressing Bafia, I think he has looked pretty good.

The rout is on in Detroit. I can't remember the last time both UM and MSU were so incredibly awful. MSU looks like a midget house team against WMU.

This FSN Detroit broadcasting crew is terrible. In the Tech/UM game they were BLOWING UM and Red while spending the entire game avoiding saying how bad UM truly is this year. This is the worst UM team in DECADES and Darren Elloitt and whatever j4rk0ff is doing the PBP complimented the assailant coaches and said "Red still has it." Has what, a pulse? I HATE THE BLUE WALL!

They're actually more neutral during this game than they were during the first game. They went out of their way to overly praise UM, one of their worst teams in decades.

The broadcast crew basically admitted they stopped paying attention to the state schools not in the Big 14. Figures. The college hockey world revolves around the Big 14, how soon we forget.

It was pretty hilarious listening to the broadcast continue to make excuses for MSU the entire game. Both winners today garnered very little from the broadcast and likely will be shuffled to the back page of whatever narrative was originally prepared.

One thing the powers at the helm wanted will in fact occur... MSU vs UM... too bad it's for the toilet bowl!
