lol I have gone to Hot Springs along that route so I guess I have heard of Mt. Ida, I had to have driven right by it/through it.

Next time I head that way I'm going to go into Dairy Whip (Daiyrette) there and take some pics for you all.

Funny names of a few communities that still do or once existed in Arkansas. Bucksnort......Cooterneck.........Possum Grape......and Goobertown.

On Highway 7 there was a place called Booger Hollow...population 7 plus 1 coon dog...it wasn't really a town...just a former tourist trap...but I will say this to all of the folks that want to put Arkansas down...it is a beautiful state for the most part...I'm not from there but get down there to canoe the awesome Buffalo National River on a regular basis...fun times...

I wouldn't call Booger Hollow a tourist trap. It was more of a roadside rest stop area that had a store selling souvenirs near the theme park Dog Patch that was based off of the comic strip by the same name. How did you like the two story outhouse they had there? And wouldn't you hate to be the one using the bottom floor while the upper floor was occupied? 03-lmfao

Good ol' Dog Patch...that was somebody's bad idea (at least it turned out that way...along with the ski resort that was there for a couple of years...my old Atlas still has the "town" labeled as Dogpatch...it's back to its original name which is Marble Falls...I go by it on my way to Jasper and Ponca to camp and kayak the Upper Buffalo...beautiful places...

RE: Power Conference Rankings/G4 Rankings
Back to football...so the AAC champion just lost to a Wake Forest team that was 6 and 6...I wonder why Temple didn't win their superbowl? Can somebody get me up to speed on the AAC bowl record this year? How embarrassing for a wannabe power conference. Also I have a question...if the AAC wannabes think they are a power conference and not part of the G5...then why did Houston accept the G5 slot for a New Years 6 bowl? I guess it was the other power conferences taking care of their little brothers???
